Welcome to All Kids Can!  

All Kids Can! is a disabilities awareness program that helps students of all ages learn attitudes of acceptance, dignity and respect toward all people, especially those with disabilities.  The All Kids Can! project will help you and your class discover new friends, develop new ideas and learn more about people with disabilities through class projects. 

All Kids Can! was originally funded by the 1999 Sixth Grade Talented and Gifted Class at Obadiah Knight Elementary School  by raising money through the Common Cents program.  When we heard about the All Kids Can! disabilities awareness projects we thought, "What a Great Idea!" and this website was born.  The All Kids Can! website and program is a joint effort between our class and The Arc of Dallas.  

Each year, the new 6th grade Talented and Gifted class at our school, along with classes from other schools, will be working on new awareness projects to show how All Kids Can! respect diversity. We hope you'll accept our challenge and get your class or group involved in this project, too.

March is Developmental Disabilities Month...Do YOU have a Disabilities Awareness Project at your school?

We're encouraging local schools to get involved in Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by launching disabilities awareness projects.  The Arc has disabilities awareness curriculum available for $20, which includes: curriculum for grades K-3 & 4-6, 2 videos, and suggestions about implementing a program at your school!  Better get going...March will be here soon!  See the Class Projects page for more details! Disabilities awareness projects are not limited to March. Get your class involved any time of year!
